We're kind of obsessed with our couples. Like, a lot.
There's this thing that happens when you photograph the same group of friends across multiple weddings because it stops feeling like work and starts feeling like a reunion. And that's exactly what Allison and James's wedding felt like for us. Pure joy, familiar faces, and that warm fuzzy feeling of watching a whole friend group grow up together in real time. This was our fourth wedding within this incredible circle of friends. Four. Five if you count Frank and Ashleigh's wedding since we did it twice! And honestly? We hope there are more to come.
The moment it all clicked. It was Frank and Ashleigh's wedding in Sausalito and one of our absolute favorite Bay Area venues, by the way, when Allison pulled me aside and told me they'd have to have us for their wedding. We love when that happens. There's no better compliment than a guest at one wedding already planning their own, and there's no better feeling than knowing the work we put into every event speaks for itself.
When Allison and James officially reached out to book us, it was one of those "yes, absolutely, immediately" moments on our end too. Some couples you just click with from the very first conversation, and these two were exactly that.
Walking in at the venue and seeing familiar faces, there's nothing quite like it.
One of the most special parts of doing multiple weddings within the same friend group? Watching life happen between them. Since we first started photographing this crew at Ray and Ellen's wedding a few years ago, two of the couples have welcomed new babies into their families. That's the stuff that makes this job so much more than a job. We're not just capturing moments anymore. We're watching a whole chapter of people's lives unfold, wedding by wedding, milestone by milestone. And we get a front-row seat every time. We don't take that lightly.
Allison & James... you were everything! From start to finish, this couple brought so much warmth and excitement to the whole experience. Planning was smooth, their energy was contagious, and the love between them (and honestly, their entire friend group) filled every single frame. Allison, you knew what you wanted and you went after it and we love that about you. James, you pulled it off beautifully. Together? Unstoppable.
